Pony Express long-haul space freighter "Tulpar"
Crew: Five
Planned Shipment Duration: 382 Days
Elapsed Transit Time: 147 Days
I hope this hurts.
A narrative driven first-person horror game following the dying crew of a shipwrecked space freighter.
Who could have known what good ol' Captain Curly was capable of? Guess he thought his crew dying alongside him was only right. But some men can't even kill themselves properly. Maimed, limbless and unable to speak, but alive, Curly is now at the mercy of the crew he has doomed to a slow death.
The Pony Express long-haul galactic freighter Tulpar is stranded within an uncharted region of space. Emergency life support systems saved the Captain and crew of four. The ship will run out of power within six months, food rations long before that. Adrift far off their shipment route, they know the chance of rescue nears zero. Opening the cargo hold is strictly prohibited by the company, but the contents could mean a prolonged chance of survival.
In the space freighter industry, there's a saying:
"Hope to die, or for goodness sake, pray that everyone else did."

Players experience captain Curly's perspective in the scenes before the crash, while scenes taking place after the crash are from the perspective of former co-pilot Jimmy, who takes on the role of captain in the aftermath of the disaster.
He raped the crew's nurse, Anya, and impregnated her with a child, only to run away from it. This led to her keeping a gun and living in fear and constant manipulation, ultimately leading to her suicide.
" bought this game expecting a wacky cosmic horror with people turning into monsters after drinking mouthwash. What I got was a character drama exploring the horror of human depravity and narcissism. Because you don't need cosmic horror mouthwash to have a person become a monster. This game has stuck with me, my thoughts keep wandering back to it, and any game that does that is worth recommending."

"jesus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ christ. i've been super curious about this game since i've seen some content from the fandom, at first glance all i saw was this bandaged guy with no skin and some stuff about mouthwash. it had a cool art style so i looked at the game page, saw the trailers as well as some interesting reviews. so, decided it would be a fun game to spend a night or two playing. in hindsight the reviews make allot more sense now. after playing this game i feel like vomiting and sobbing my eyes out but i'd recommend this to anyone who likes good art because god, this story was incredible."

"Probably my favourite indie release of the year. It took me about 2.3 hours to complete, but there are def sequences at the end that weren't really that necessary to have been included in the final cut. The characterisation of the entire crew and the narrative being fully realised in the jumps between past and present are done really really well, and the final twist really pieces it all together. One of the more sensitive plot points is also never said out loud but rather something the player discovers via context cues in the language the characters use, a sadly realistic approach. Overall a really tense psychological horror game with retro-feel PSX-inspired art direction."

"Absolute must play. Go in blind, play it with friends. Either or. The sheer atmosphere, and writing alone carries this game. While short in length (Actual play-through time was 2 hours and 23 mins. Extended play time due to enjoying the atmosphere and ambiance), this story does not overstay it's welcome, which can def be appreciated. I cannot state how engrossing this game was. A simple concept, but the games unreliable narrator and broken up chain of events, makes every next scene transition whiplash on the first play-through. On a second play-through, there's where you can start feeling confident in your theories."
